The Knights Templar ''The Affirmation''- Tigerland Sligo

The Affirmation
The last Grand Master of the Templar Order, Jacques de Molay, was tortured and burned at the stake in 1314, by order of King Philip IV of France, who pressured Pope Clement V to disband the Order and arrest all its members. Legend has it that de Molay issued his dying curse against the King and Pope, saying that he would meet them before God before the year was out. Pope Clement died only a month later, and King Philip died later that year in a hunting accident. Many of the knights escaped the reach of the King’s men, travelling to the outer parts of Europe and the Middle East. Rumours quickly circulated that they carried with them some of the orders greatest secrets and treasures.
One of these places was the West coast of Ireland where the Order had established a fortified Castle. There they remained in self imposed exile and all that remains of the castle today is the ruins of the outer walls.
Present day intercepted Communicaes from the militant faction know as the brethren detailing how they had found and confirmed new evidence as to the approximate location of one of these lost treasures in the woodland adjacent to the castle ruin. All efforts to establish further communications with their 2 man scouting party have been unsuccessful. The hierarchy of this fanatical militant cult are confident that they have located one of the most treasured of the Knights Templars
Secrets and have committed a number of their most trusted operatives to secure the prise.
Fears are growing that if the Brethren succeed in their retrieval of this unknown treasure/entity that they may use it to fund further terrorist activates and therefore a covert coalition group have been ordered to intercept and neutralise this treat.

The Ashes Of War - Part I, What can I say…

What can I say…
One hell of a weekend!

To cut it down to short, a hard fought game which seen our faction the Nargorno-Karabakh Defence Army (The mighty Greens), supported by us the Armenian Special Forces, slowly but surely push the Azerbaijan forces (The dastardly Tans) back across the city of Agdam through-out the 1st day and into the nightwith an end result of holding a large majority of the city as we decided to bunk off.
Our downfall? When vast majority of you faction decides to fall asleep at the same time and decide that they need more than just beauty sleep….
When we found out the Tan’s had woken early and launched an counter offensive which took then to our CP twice, and ultimately wining them the game, we countered back to push the enemy back and back until we found ourselves in a good position again but before we could start truely doing more damage to the Tans again the event ended…

At debrief we found out that both sides fought a tight battle with the Green holding overall majority of the City but unfortunatley the two night attacks for the Tans won the the event by a minimal amount of points….

What can I say…
Let them enjoy their victory, it will be their only one!

Headcam is in!

Finally my head camera has arrived with a nice expensive Customs charge but feck it. Have a nice late nights work ahead of me but hopefully I’ll be able to make it to Tigerland tomorrow morning to test it out and hopefull get some quality footage of the lads.
If all goes well I’ll be starting my own youtube chanel dedicated to the world of airsoft and maybe bring something new to Aitsoft videos, reviews and any anything else I can think of!
I got a Tachyon OPS HD with all the gun mounts that I’ll need, still debating my decision of Head cam. The GoPro was definity a no no due to it’s size and shape but the Contour looks like it could have been another good option. The Tachyon is certainly the smallest and is geared towards my need but only time will tell!

Jim, you better be ready when this shit goes down!!

The Ashes Of War - Part I

THIS IS GOING TO BE EPIC!

Here is TA-Events next big game and I have no doubt it will be the best event yet.
I have not been to Copehill Down FIBUA village but it is a large site with 88 multi-level buildings, vehicles, pyro and then combine this with 24hour straight play surrounded by a team of Tigers… Can’t ask for much more in terms of Airsoft awesomeness!

”Well you are a Tiger!”

During my year with Airsoft I’ve had many great expieriences from my 1st large Airsoft event in Ireland to travelling to one of Britains FIBUA training bases in Wales but I have to say my favourite memory was being told I was a member of The Tigers Airsoft team, although was by no means a glorious occasion.
The Tigers team is split in location between Dublin and Sligo, East and west. One day when the Dubin Tigers decided to pay Tigerland a visit I ended up walking beside Helo (A Tiger Captain at the time), as we strolled over to the start point for a game he started to confused me with questions about Tiger team businness. When ask why I had no idea about what he was talking about I told him I wasn’t a Tiger.
After the game, while we chilled out in the Safe-zone, Danin (Current Tiger Captain) walked over and from my memory it went a little something like this:

Danin: Why Did you tell Helo your not a Tiger?
*(My Brain) Well I’m not, you know I’m not, why are you asking?!*
Me: Eh, well as far as I know I’m not.
Danin: Well you are a Tiger!
Me: Oh, well no one ever told me?!
Danin: What? Did you want a written invitation and red carpet?
Me: Well that would be nice. Atleast I’d have know!

At this point my face had a permanent smile for the rest of the day.

And to this day I still don’t know when I actually became a Tiger in the eyes of the team but that matter little now!
